Important Congregational Update & Pastoral Direction

May 5, 2026

Dear Streams Church Family,

Grace and peace to you.

As your pastor, I remain committed to leading with both truth and care, especially in moments that require clarity for the protection and unity of our church family.

On September 25, 2025, I communicated to the membership that Ms. Toni (Antonia) Wheatley was no longer a part of The Streams Church and would no longer have any affiliation with our ministry. At that time, out of a desire to handle the matter with discretion and grace, specific details were not shared.

However, due to ongoing developments, it has become necessary to provide additional clarity.

Toni Wheatley has, and continues to, play an active role in disrupting and dismantling relationships within ministries and families connected to this church. Since my original communication, she has continued to engage in various forms of communication with members and leaders of The Streams Church—despite a clear directive given to her to fully disassociate from all Streams Church ministries, including our childcare ministry, life groups, and membership community.

These continued communications have not been harmless. They have contributed to confusion, division, and spiritual disruption within our church body and within individual family units. As a shepherd, it is my responsibility to protect the flock, and the level of impact has now required a more direct and transparent response.

Because of the damage already experienced, the Elders Board, along with myself and our Bishop and Overseer, are actively engaged in assessing the situation and providing necessary care and damage control. We are preparing to hold a formal church members meeting in the near future where further details and our final resolution will be shared.

In the meantime, I am asking every member of The Streams Church to be both vigilant and prayerful. As we move forward, you are directed to distance yourself from Toni Wheatley and refrain from any form of engagement or communication with her as it relates to The Streams Church.

While we cannot regulate personal relationships outside of the church, we are fully responsible for protecting the spiritual health and unity of this house. Any continued interaction that allows division to spread within our ministry or among our members cannot and will not be permitted.

If you have trusted your leadership thus far, I prayerfully ask that you continue to do so in this season. Our decisions are not made lightly, but through prayer, counsel, and a deep commitment to guarding what God has entrusted to us.

Let us remain unified, focused, and covered in prayer as we walk through this together.

With pastoral care and responsibility,
Pastor A. Thomas Hill
Senior Pastor
The Streams Church
