Invitation to Serve as a Pillar Overseer

Prayerfully Considering Your Role in the Next Season of Ministry

As The Streams Church continues to seek God's direction for the future, we are prayerfully restructuring our ministry to better fulfill our mission of reaching people, making disciples, and equipping believers for Kingdom service.

After much prayer and consideration, your name has been identified as someone we believe possesses the spiritual maturity, leadership gifts, and heart for ministry that could serve our church well in a significant leadership capacity.

We would like you to prayerfully consider serving as a Pillar Overseer.

The purpose of our Five Pillar Leadership Structure is to organize the ministry around its five primary areas of responsibility, ensuring that every person who comes through our doors is intentionally reached, connected, cared for, discipled, and deployed into meaningful service.

This role is not intended to place the responsibility of doing all the ministry upon one person. Rather, the Pillar Overseer serves as a spiritual leader who builds, develops, and supports a team of lay leaders who oversee the individual ministries within that pillar.

If you were to accept this assignment, your responsibilities would include:

• Providing spiritual leadership and vision for your assigned pillar.

• Recruiting, mentoring, and encouraging lay leaders.

• Delegating responsibilities to capable ministry leaders.

• Supporting and coaching those leaders as they carry out ministry.

• Helping ensure that the various ministries within your pillar work together effectively.

• Communicating opportunities, progress, and ministry needs with the Senior Pastor and Elders Board.

• Participating in periodic leadership meetings for planning, prayer, and accountability.

Think of this role as developing leaders rather than managing programs.

Your success would not be measured by how much ministry you personally perform, but by how effectively you empower others to discover their gifts, grow in leadership, and faithfully serve the Body of Christ.

This leadership model is designed to strengthen the church by creating healthy systems, shared leadership, and sustainable ministry. As Scripture teaches, the Body of Christ functions best when every member supplies their part (Ephesians 4:11–16).

At this time, we are simply asking that you prayerfully consider whether God is leading you to serve in this capacity.

There is absolutely no pressure to accept. Our desire is that every Pillar Overseer serves joyfully, willingly, and with a clear sense of God's calling rather than obligation.
